Safeguarding Reporting Procedure

The Drama MOB Ltd.

If you are concerned about a child’s safety:

1. A Concern Arises

This may be:

  • A disclosure from a child
  • Signs of physical, emotional or sexual abuse
  • Neglect
  • Inappropriate adult behaviour
  • Online safety concerns
  • Exploitation concerns

2. Respond Immediately

  • Stay calm
  • Listen carefully
  • Do no ask leading questions
  • Do not promise confidentiality
  • Reassure the child they have done the right thing

3. Record the Concern

Write down:

  • Date and time
  • What was said (as close to exact words as possible)
  • What you observed
  • Your name and signature

Do not include opinion – facts only.

4. Report Immediately

Report to:

Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL):
Esther Morgan – Director

If unavailable, report to:
Tina O’Brien – Director

If a child is in immediate danger – contact Police or Children’s Services immediately.

5. DSL Action

The DSL will:

  • Review the concern
  • Decide on appropriate action
  • Make referral to Children’s Services where necessary
  • Record and store documentation securely

Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility. Never assume someone else will report it.
